The KX Akademy will be placing their drivers in both the Renualt Clio Cup and the Ginetta GT Supercup. Ant Whorton-Eales, Luke Herbert and Stefan Hodgetts will be racing for Scuderia Vittoria in the Clio Cup while Rob Boston and Tom Ingram will be taking part in the Ginetta GT Supercup.

Ant Whorton-Eales will be one of the three drivers KX Akademy will be supporting in the Clio Cup. Whorton-Eales has been participating in circuit racing since 2009. He started in the 750 Motor Club Saxmax series where he took the title in 2010, he continued his championship winning ways in 2011 where he won the Mini Challenge Club class championship. Last year Whorton-Eales competed in the Clio Cup where he scored 2 podium positions.

Luke Herbert is another of the KX Akademy supported drivers who will be taking part in the Clio Cup. Herbert has been racing cars since 2010, but has never raced in the TOCA package. He has been taking part in the Ma5da racing series, starting off in the MX5 Mk1 Championship and later taking part in the MX5 Mk3 Cup which he won the championship last year.

Stefan Hodgetts is the most experienced driver on the KX Akademy list. Hodgetts started off his car racing career in single-seaters where he raced in series such as Formula Renault and Formula 3. He moved to closed wheel racing where he raced in the BTCC in 2004 for GA Motorsport with a best result of ninth at Snetterton. Recently the son of ex-BTCC champion Chris, Stefan Hodgetts has competed in the Clio Cup on-and-off since 2007 where he had won 13 races.

Rob Boston is one of the two drivers the KX Akademy has placed in the Ginetta GT Supercup. Boston had won a scholarship in the Clio Cup back in 2008 where he scored a best result of second in his first car racing  season. Boston then raced Mazda MX5's for 3 years, where he was champion in the Ma5da Mk1 Championship in 2010 and the Ma5da Mk3 Championship in 2011. In 2012, Boston won multiple races in the Lotus On-Track Elise Trophy.

Tom Ingram will be once again competing in Ginetta racing, this time with help from the KX Akademy. Ingram won the 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship, and in 2011 won the G50 class in the Ginetta GT Supercup. Last year Ingram finished third in the G55 class of the Ginetta GT Supercup with six wins. As well as the KX Akademy, Hansford Sensors will be supporting Ingram through the 2013 season. We are delighted to maintain our relationship with Tom,” stated Hansford. “He has over the last year shown his professionalism and skill to an impressive degree. What’s more, all that is reinforced by very solid support from his parents, which gives us the confidence that we are backing an extremely deserving driver.”
