Each round of the club's Marangoni/GAZ Shocks Compact Cup and Toyota MR2 Championship will be shown on Motors TV and produced by AMG TV. At each of the seven race days each 750 Motor Club series will be televised. The Compact Cup and MR2 series will get a 30 minute programme each, while the rest of the days action will be edited into a one hour programme. This adds to the Castle Combe round of the Locost series which will be televised live on Motors TV as part of their 'Live Raceday'.
The 750MC Competition Manager Giles Groombridge said “We know that many of our competitors appreciated the television coverage that we received in 2010 and we are pleased to be able to offer it again. Separate sponsorship deals ensured that the Compact Cup and MR2 Championship received dedicated programming but the Club’s Board have committed to the remainder of the funding required ensuring that all of our classes will receive some coverage during 2013.”
Andy Glossop from AMG TV said “I am delighted to be working with the 750 Motor Club once again. When we last covered the Club’s events in 2010 the quality of the racing was superb and made for excellent television, and I am confident that it will be more of the same this year.”
The Compact Cup have also announced today a new scheme of having a 'Star in a reasonably priced race car' for each meeting of the season. The 'star' will use the car which was raced by both Mark Hales and Tom Onslow-Cole in 2012. At Donington Park which is the first round of the series BTCC star Paul O'Neill shall be the first 'star' to race in the Compact Cup.
